Our Character Gateways

Our Character gateways are a lens into learning. As children achieve academic excellence, they will also be developing character values. Along with our emphasis on metacognition, we aim to develop every child as a caring citizen, healthy thinker, curious explorer, successful learner, knowledgeable participant and confident individual. We focus on one gateway every half term and teach the two underpinning values in all subjects that are being covered across the half term. We believe that the teaching of character values then become habits, that allow all  to achieve and flourish.
