Science – Our content, aims and concepts
Science at Galmpton
Science at Foundation Stage is introduced indirectly through activities that encourage children to explore, problem solve, observe, predict, think, make decisions and talk about the world around them.

Teachers think very carefully about the progression of Science knowledge and skills when planning Science learning enquiries. We realise the importance of the building blocks within each of the three science concepts and ensure learning is sequential and well ordered for all our pupils.
We are very fortunate to have good links with our local secondary schools where our Upper Key Stage 2 pupils have opportunities to join in with some very exciting and worthwhile science investigation days.

We have our own after school Science club that's very popular and allows pupils to further explore the wonderful world of Science.
As a member of the Ogden Trust School Partnerships programme we are fortunate to receive funding and support to develop science teaching and learning. This means we have access to a wide range of resources and have events such as space dome visits fully funded.
